Glasgow Mackintosh

Martyrs' School is one of the earliest buildings attributed to Charles Rennie Mackintosh, designed in 1895, around the same time as the Glasgow Herald Building. The building features Japanese influences in the stairwells and internal details.

Martyrs’ School

Uniquely built on the street where Charles Rennie Mackintosh was born & clearly visible from the top of the High Street. The solid red sandstone construction is topped by three ventilators with highly decorative finials. Inside there are lime-wash plaster walls & spectacular roof trusses.
